ABOUT THE NORTHWEST CHICAGO FILM SOCIETY
The Northwest Chicago Film Society hosts screenings at Patio Theater on a regular basis. All shows are presented from authentic 35mm or 16mm motion picture film prints, projected on the Patio's enormous screen.

The Northwest Chicago Film Society exists to promote the preservation of film in context. The Film Society believes that films capture the past uniquely. They hold the stories told by feature films, but also the stories of the industries that produced them, the places where they were exhibited, and the people who watched them. The Film Society believe that all of this history–not just of film, but of 20th century industry, labor, recreation, and culture–is more intelligible when it’s grounded in unsimulated experience: seeing a film in a theater, with an audience, and projected from film stock.
The Northwest Chicago Film Society is a tax-exempt, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. It was founded in 2011 by Julian Antos, Rebecca Hall, and Kyle Westphal.
